When the building goes, everything goes

The figures from INSEE confirm it, the construction sector is on the rise and craftsmen are regaining their smile. If in the first quarter of 2017, the construction sector was able to record an increase in projects of 1.5% across the national territory, this increase was confirmed at 2.5% by the end of the first half of this year. The market is thriving after several rather gloomy years, but this is not a sufficient reason for craftsmen to abandon their search for projects (source: Indiz).

The construction sector regains its smile

The president of the French Federation of Building confirms this, regarding the recovery in the construction sector, “these figures are not a surprise, projects are finally on the rise, particularly thanks to the energy renovation markets that are spreading across the territory.” The same observation comes from the Ministry of Territorial Cohesion, but with a somewhat different conviction, as its spokesperson believes the sector is recovering mainly due to the 400,000 housing units that have been started in the past year, representing a 14% increase compared to the previous year. It is also worth noting that the demand for building permits has recorded a 13% increase compared to the previous year. The construction sector seems to have bright days ahead.

Searching for new projects

If the market is picking up, there could be opportunities for everyone. Therefore, using a project search website seems to be the most concrete way for craftsmen. Simple and free, this tool allows craftsmen to connect with individuals who have a project to be carried out. After gathering information about the skills of construction professionals, their geographical area – from Somme to Vaucluse – as well as contact details, the site takes care of matching requests and proposals. From there, all that remains for craftsmen is to send a quote proposal to their future client.
